| Although Claudette Bell had an early dream of attending
the Beaux Arts in Montreal to develop an art career, for practical reasons
she pursued a career in nursing graduating from the Montreal Hotel Dieu
Hospital of Nursing and from Montreal University to become a Registered
Nurse. Moving to Charleston in the 1970s, she resumed her dream to develop
a career in art. She has since studied with many leading artists and is
a member of the Charleston Artist Guild. After working in watercolors and
acrylics, Claudette is returning to her first love --Oils. She is mostly
inspired by nature and outdoors scenes where she has opportunities to explore
movement, light and colors.
